Enjoy a light dinner, drinks and incredible panoramic views at the Elegant Dive, Hyatt's lovely poolside lounge, pupus at Musashi, Ciao Mein or from the comfort of your own deluxe oceanview balcony. ($30 hotel food and beverage credit per person.) | | Day 2 | Oahu | OAHU: The brilliant Hawaiian sunrise beckons you to a great buffet or a la carte breakfast. Next, a short familiarization talk on your Hawaiian adventure. Then we set off for Pearl Harbor to commemorate the day that will live in infamy, December 7, 1941. Relax poolside with a Mai Tai, read that great summer novel, shop for souvenirs, visit the Honolulu Zoo, visit Diamond Head, or just people-watch on Waikiki Beach were each day sizzles with fun. Your tour escort will also help you decide among several optional activites such as the Polynesian Cultural Center, Sea Life Park, snorkeling at Hanama Bay, a catamaran sail or a round of golf. At the height of the whaling era (1840 to 1865), Lahaina Town served as the anchorage for more than 500 ships! We'll visit Lahaina and the lao Valley to view the famous lao needle. Its focal point, the 10,023 foot summit of giant Mount Haleakala. The now sleeping volcano that gave birth to the island, Haleakala - the House of the Sun - is a mile deep. And the crater alone streches seven miles across. She's majestic and truly awesome! This evening you're totally free to do as you please. Why not take the hotel shuttle back to Lahaina Town with its many shops, attractions and restaurants?
